Orange cloudy no carbonation. Funky tannic. Light sweet flavours, with tannic oaky mid and later flavours. Slight dry at the end. Bought at the Pelican in Gloucester

Dark gold, still and clear. . Fragrant apple aroma with perfume. Rich apple flavour with some spice and flora. Soft and smooth with tannins in the finish.

Amber-coloured, with an aroma of funk, and a hint of spice. Initially sweetish, fruity flavour, quickly becoming tannic and drier, and leaving a finish with funk. Nicely complex, and balances the tannins well, without losing the funk in the finish. Enjoyable.

An inspiring medium cider. This is only my 2nd taste of it mind you. At first the flavour is full, but it lasts nano-seconds before decending into a water slush of something a little bit sharp and something a bit little ripe. It ok, but not incredible - and there’s a part of me that feels I’m being very harsh, but I just expected more. It just lacks something - a decent aftertaste I think is the culprit. It’s 6.5%aABV so not excessively strong - but enough to pack a punch. It’s amber gold in colour and on the dry side of medium-dry. The taste is hard to describe with light bitter undertones and light tannins. It has a strong apple taste and fairly heavy bodied. I wouldn’t reach for this one again - the flavour just isn’t complex enough and with a stronger fruit aroma on the nose, I’d hoped for more. It has a hint, a hint of anniseed and candy but otherwise nothing memorable. Wanted to give this a higher score, but it’s a 3/5 from me.
