A clear amber pour with the smell of sweet apples on the nose and medium carbonation. This is a delicious cider that is easily drinkable. It is made from bittersweet and Jonagored apples giving a nice balance of flavors with slight woody notes.

I have written the review twice and lost it... so a quick one is... this is a quality manufacturer making cider with love, care and attention. I could use a bit more tannin/balance but would be very happy to drink it again and again.

Stonewell Medium Dry Irish Craft Cider (5.5% ABV, 500ml). Another cider from Cork, made from regionally sourced apples (no varieties given), but with some added sugar and malic acid. Bright, clear golden colour. Aroma of sweetish red apples, apricots, some yeast. Same on the palate at first, with a tart green apple note and mild vinegar. Light body and fairly lively carbonation. Apple skins, and a stronger vinegary note in the finish; aftertaste of tart apples, lemon, apple cores. Very likable if light-bodied cider, not cloying despite the addition of sugar. 7/10.
