Starts with a funky/appley aroma, followed by a dry, full-bodied taste that lingers. The taste does have a noticeable earthiness, but not as much as the aroma suggests. After swallowing, you’re left with lingering bitterness and a hint of caramel. Overall a well made traditional style cider.

Cellar Club offering from Shacksbury, made from wild apples grown on property of Charles Shackleton and Miranda Thomas, furniture maker and potter respectively. The wild apples come through in the earthiness of both the aroma and taste. Unfiltered.
