I bought this in a bottle with a label that only said "Sidre Brut," so I hope I am reviewing the right cider. As soon as I put it in my mouth, I had a feeling that I had tasted something like this cider before. After a moment, I thought of Maeloc Sidra Seca, a dry cider from Spain. Unfortunately, I don't particularly like this style of cider and there's a huge bottle of it. There is a sort of rubber taste, which in wine would mean sulfur compounds, which I keep picking up in these ciders. Less so in Bordelet than in the Maeloc, but still enough that I would not voluntarily drink this again.

Comes in a 750 ml champagne bottle. Rich, orange colour, with a fruity aroma carrying a metallic edge. Tangy, bittersweet, apple flavour, becoming drier in the aftertaste, and with a spice finish. Mellow, drinkable, and quite moreish. A little too gassy for my tastes.

Slight sparkle. Apple forward. Definitely tastes French (funky) on the backend.

Clear copper colored pour with heavy carbonation. Crisp and leathery…lots of tannins. Bright acidity. Lots of natural apple flavor and black tea backed by a hint of funk and some earthiness. Light bodied.
