Flavour starts off great, really nice smooth flavour but then there is a gap, something is missing in the profile before you get to the aftertaste which again is nice.

Very pleasant middle of the road cider without the slightly harsh end taste that some ciders have. Certainly one Iā€™d drink again.

Slack Alice is a smooth tasting semi dry cider with a mild apple flavour. It's a pale yellow in colour with not much on the nose to report. It's pleasant with flavours of apple skins and aged wood, but it lacks a bit of complexity. It's just missing something that I can't quite put my finger on? It's finish is smooth and mellow with almost some citrus tones just to round it off.

Celtic Marches Slack Alice (4.6% ABV, 500ml). Bright, clear yellow golden colour. Aroma is a bit muted: slightly sweet apples, apple skin/tannins in the background. Fairly meek. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation. Dry to medium-dry palate altogether: dry at first, with some tannings, fruitier toward the finish. Then dry again, with faint red apples, leaves, and a wee bit of lemon in the aftertaste. A bit bland but easy to drink mainstream English cider. Almost a relief after the more eccentric elderflower cider from Thistly Cross. But far less impressive than the same company's "Abrahalls AM" I tried last week. 6.5/10

Golden colour, clear with light fizz. Light fresh apple aroma with some cut grass. A little wood in the flavour.

Light golden colour, with an aroma of under-ripe apples and grass. Soft, mellow, and fruity, with a woody tartness in the aftertaste. Unexceptional, but drinkable offering. Session cider.
