Autumn Gold

Crisp and refreshing with a sparkling sweetness. Well done Henneys, a drink at home favourite.

This is very different from anything else Henney’s bottle up. In fact, it’s different from most ciders, this one really stands on its own. In a good way. Autumn Gold is just that, gold. In colour and in taste. It has a very mellow sweetness which may be too much for some. It’s a velvet soft taste, like caramel, but very smooth. Very low acidity with this one, it’s just so smooth. This cider has a short length with a light apple and honey aftertaste. Very pleasant with little to no fizz. You could drink this all day, but the sweetness might edge it out for some and I think even I may get to the point where the constant sweetness is too much - so this cider is a very solid 4/5 in my eyes/mouth(!). Very refreshing, very nice - I’d buy this one again. Would be nice with grapes and cheese, I think.

Light, sparkling, easy drinking. The flavour grows and the sweetness lingers but isn’t overpowering.

Golden colour, with a fruity aroma, tinged with rose blossom, vanilla, and star anise. Mild fruit, becoming mineral in the aftertaste, with faint caramel in the finish. Very drinkable, and sessionable; one for the pub or parties, if available.

Gold colour, light carbonation, crystal clear. Sweet toffee apple, slight tannin aroma. Initial sweet apple flavours with a hint of toffee/caramel apple. Faint tannins or oak flavours prevent this becoming overpowering sweet. But this is a medium sweet cider as stated on the bottle. Bought at tesco.

What can I say? Another Henney's Cider which is not disappointing. It's crispy, smooth with a great apple taste, which delivers the autumn apple taste with a slight but delicious scrumpy flavor which is well rounded through the medium dryness. Exactly like a cider should be, highly recommended!

Really smooth, quite fizzy, not a lot of body to carry it through.

Golden, clear with little fizz. Apple with blossom aroma. Very clean and crisp. Sweet with a touch of bitterness at the end.
