French-style amber-colored hard cider. Semi-sweet with ABV 5.5%. Reminiscent of apple juice. A bit cloudy with a light amount of natural sediment.

Cloudy, orange-brown cider with a good aroma and a semi-sweet taste. It definitely has a presence, but without the bitter aftertaste. Quite quaffable.

Comes in a 1 litre bottle, with slight sediment. Amber-coloured, cloudy cider, with a strong apple sauce aroma, and a trace of caramel. Toffee apple flavour, with little aftertaste, though the toffee lingers on the palate. A rustic, sweet cider, with no pretensions. Very drinkable, sessionable cider.

Hint of vanilla under the noise with some definite toffee notes in the aroma and earthy red apple peel and the slightest faint hint of peach and caramel. It tastes like a French cider in that it has that deep earthy taste along with an instant dryness. It’s certainly quaffable (if you like a dry cider) - with a very natural sweetness - and the sweetness tastes incredibly natural. The colour is hazy and (again) natural with a golden bronze hue and very light carbonation. On the palate this cider hits hard with full body and medium length. All of the notes in the aroma above come through with a spice at the end that kicks on and rounds this cider off. Overall it’s very organic in its taste and leaves a rugged farmyard edge. I’d give it a higher score if it were slightly more complex with a bit of a smoother ride. But it is what it is and is certainly worth a try and I feel some would score it higher. Even though I wrote this review whilst in the south of France (nr Agen), I actually bought this cider in the ‘Amathus’ shop in Bath, Somerset, UK. 3/5
