Matured in Scottish whisky casks, and with a light sediment in the bottle.
Dark amber, with an aroma carrying light fruit and wood tones, with a suggestion of sour whisky in the edge.
Green apple sourness combines with sour whisky as the dominant flavours, though neither is overpowering. A little smoke in the finish.
I found the sourness a little challenging, given the absence of any underlying depth or greater complexity.
