Elderflower

Pale golden colour, with an aroma which combines elderflower and sawdust, with an underlying funk. Natural, rich, elderflower flavour gives way to a tangy, tannic cider, with good oak tones, as the aftertaste develops. Slightly oily mouth feel. Unlike most elderflower ciders, where the elderflower obliterates the underlying cider, this is more a tannic cider flavoured with elderflower, to sweeten it a little, providing a pleasant contrast between the sweet and the dry. Very drinkable, especially on a summer evening, but retains sufficient character and complexity to hold the interest of a real cider drinker.
