Dark amber, with a fruity aroma, combining ripe apple, a little citrus peel, and a dash of nutmeg and mace. Rich, mellow apple, becoming citrusy, with a little alcohol burn in the finish, suggestive of brandy. Drinkable, with some good complexity. complemented a vintage cheddar well, and would probably do justice to mince pies or a rich fruit cake.
