The pour is a dark burgundy with light carbonation. The aroma is like a merlot or Malbec. The taste is dry slightly tart and leathery. The mouthfeel is medium to heavy with lots of astringency. It dries your moth before you even swallow. The finish is long slightly acidic and bitter with lots of lovely phenolic notes. I really like it.
