I happened upon this while Christmas shopping in my local Aldi. A full pint in an attractive bottle and an attractive price of £1.25. It turned out to be much as I expected: fizzy, medium sweet, not much taste. A suitable Christmas present for someone you like, but not very much.

As all Aldi products they have a tendency to mimic better known brands in this case Bulmers. For a light cider i find this a very pleasant drink and for 89p a bottle it is well worth the pennies. For a expert cider drinker it may not suit everyone. I think saying it is not a cider is wrong it does seem to have a close resemblence to Bulmers in my opinion. Who knows it may come from the same brewery.

A fizzy cider made in Ireland for Aldi. This is not a cider I could drink too much of - rather sweet and a slight PINK colour. Added sulphites. 568 ml bottle. 4.5 %.

Tastes a little like magners but not as sweet, an ok cheaper alternative but nothing more, although I'm sure you could do worse.

Comes in a pint (568 ml) bottle. Pale, peachy orange, with no discernible aroma. Tastes a bit like diluted Irn Bru, with no fruit flavour, and a sweetish candy taste. Quite drinkable in its way, but cider this is not!

It's cheap, it's cheerful and drinkable....that's about all you need to know about this cider. Given that Taurus (Aldi own brand) is the alternative on their shelves...shop somewhere else for your cider.
