I love this..am I wrong about that? Sweet but it is a maple syrup pancake cider. The smoke is minor but adds just the right amount to give it a correct taste. And I agree, it is weird how it tastes like a pancake. The scent is strong; it comes about as soon as you open it. Can't drink more than one at a time, though, due to the sweetness.

This is Woodchuck's newest Out on a Limb cider (6 pack runs around $10.99), limited release for the next few months. I had really high expectations after reading about this cider as I love maple, but its been a bit of a letdown. I only pick up the smoke in the scent, not the flavor. The maple is definitely there, but it seems fake to me, especially on the back end. There is also a flavor that honestly kinda tastes like pancakes! Not sure how they pulled that off. However, the ingredient list has hard cider, maple syrup, and less than 1% natural flavor. There is definitely some sort of artificial scent added as the maple scent actually lingers in the air even after I finished the cider and put the glass away!
