Peach

I really like most of Downeast's varieties, but this one is at the bottom of the bunch for me. I don't think the peach flavor is as successful at marrying with the apple as other combinations like pineapple or pumpkin. The Good: The peach tastes like real peaches, nothing artificial. The Bad: The apple taste is stronger than the peach and you mostly get peach flavor late in the sip. The peach tastes a bit underripe, like when you bite a fresh peach and it's still a bit hard. (Feb 5, 2021) Update (April 17, 2021): I had another of these after having had a cyser and a steak and the peach really comes through and seems sweet if you have something tart or meaty beforehand. If I've already had a tart drink, I would revise this upwards to 4 stars.

A hint of caramel in this somewhat sweet, golden yellow cider. Medium body, solid apple taste.
