Yum. For me ACE can sometimes miss the mark. But, this is superb!

The pour is a bright golden yellow. It is clear and medium to high effervescence. The aroma is apple with a note of the Chardonnay from the barrel. The taste is dry to semi-dry. It is well balanced. It has some acid and some tannins with a nice note from the barrel aging in old Chardonnay barrels. It is quite complex and good. It has a long finish that end astringent. The mouthfeel is medium with a nice weight to it.

Gravenstein single varietal aged in oak chardonnay barrels to celebrate Ace's 21st birthday. Sold in black 750ml bottles for ~$15. Tasted too much like sparkling white wine. Starts off a bit sweeter and finishes more dry & acidic. Not too much barrel influence detected besides the chardonnay-like qualities. I think much better ciders can be had for the cost.
