Ginger

Starts with a strong ginger aroma and finishes with a “nice” ginger bite. In between, you get some lemony citrus notes with decent level of carbonation that tickles the mouth. From the slight haze, it looks like they are adding the ginger after fermentation and filtering. It’s definitely dry and you have a medium level of acid that I think comes from the base. They say it’s the same as their Joker Dry Cider. The surprise was that I expected more ginger burn at the end but it was actually relatively mild. I think I wanted that burn, which is why I gave it 3 stars versus 4. I have my own ginger cider maturing and this one made me excited to try it but It needs some more aging.

Strong ginger flavor, overtaking the cider’s apple taste. Could work well with spicy food, though the somewhat astringent finish is less appealing than the smoothness of some ginger ciders.
