Crumpton Oaks

Doesn't taste dry to me, or indeed of anything much, but at 85p it's a steal. One for knocking back outside on a sunny day, or an hors d'oeuvre before something more substantial. Got cider at Tesco, Birmingham

Mid amber in colour, with an earthy, leathery aroma. Strong, dryish, smoky, quite unusual flavour. This is, I think, the cheapest cider I have tasted, and it compares favourably to many of the big-name mass-produced brands; it's certainly value for money, and I've tasted far worse! However, the smokiness may not be to everyone's taste, and takes a little getting used to.
