A blend of at least 11 varieties of vintage cider apples. Label states :- Burrow Hill Farm Pressed Somerset Cider The ancient craft of blending vintage Somerset cider apples to produce fine ciders has been handed down through generations. In our orchards we grow 40 varieties on more than 7,000 apple trees. In the autumn the fruit is harvested, blended and pressed. The juice is then fermented and matured in oak vats. At Burrow Hill we sell traditional prize winning ciders direct from wooden barrels. We also distil and age Somerset Cider Brandy, Kingston Black Aperitif and The Somerset Pomona. If you would like to know more, a visit to our website may prove worthwhile. www.cider brandy.co.uk Contains sulphites. Orange-bronze medium cider that’s incredibly solid. Little to no fizz with a sharp, big and cherry-mellow zip with a hint of bitterness on first sip which swiftly turns a sharper spike with a long finish and a nice sour ending. Under the hood this cider has a great fruit aroma - with an earthy depth. This cider is carefully blended from at least 11 varieties and it shows - the taste is complex and intriguing. At 6.0%ABV it’s highly drinkable without the worry of feeling blotto after a few bottles. I’m not normally a fan of ‘red’ ciders like this one, but the lingering taste in your mouth and the dryness that develops on your palate after each sip is too intriguing to leave behind. I’ve reviewed this cider before on a long-forgotten app and I’m pretty sure I rated this 4/5 last time - and will again now. If you like your red ciders - you’ll love this one. I’d give it a 5 but it’s just lacking a punch that I’ve found in other ciders that is absent here. Otherwise, I’d have it again and certainly wouldn’t give it a miss.

Golden coloured, clear with light carbonation. Aroma of apple and blossom (although I am sat in a garden centre) Hints of orange in the flavour.

A nice (although commercial tasting and sort of thin) tannic English cider. Notes of bittersweet cider apples, pomace, caramel, brown sugar, orange, and leather.
