This smells of apples, and the distinct apple flavor comes through much stronger in this then in other winter-themed and spiced ciders, with the spices taking a backseat. The maple adds a sweetness and smooths out the acidity, rendering it extremely inoffensive in that regard. Although this is a winter cider, the subtle spices and the sweetness really make it one that you could use as an "intro cider" year-round for someone who expresses concern about sourness or acidity.
I'm giving it 3 stars but I certainly wouldn't kick this one out of bed.
