Well, this is interesting. Almost tastes like a Lucozade Sport (a flat drink, if you’ve had it) with a hint of fizz. Very drinkable, not much going on mind you - well, perhaps a little bit. First up, it doesn’t really smell of anything. Taste? It’s quite watery and you could definitely hammer this one down in the hot weather. It has a Caribbean ‘mixed fruit’ taste to it - mango, pineapple, oranges, all sorts - nothing like I’ve ever tasted in a cider! And at 4.5% very quaffable! Think of the discontinued ‘Lilt’ and you’ve got this cider in your hands with the same amount of sweetness as well but with a streak of dryness on the back palate. Colour? It’s golden and cloudy with a light yellow shade and looks more interesting in the glass than it is to the taste. It’s drinkable, yes, but lacks complexity and bite and therefore I’ve given it 3/5. I hail from Berkshire so was hoping for more from my ‘home’ county. The Berkshire Diamond is nice, and I do like medium bodied ciders - but this one fails to sparkle.

Cloudy yellow, with a sharp, citrus aroma. Slightly sour pineapple and grapefruit dominate, with a little resin in the aftertaste. Interesting and uncommon flavours, but lacking in complexity.
