For those not in the know, Irn Bru is a bright orange soft drink, made in Scotland, and preferred by Scots to the global brands. Indeed, Scotland is one of the few places on the planet where Coca Cola is not the top-selling soft drink brand, being outsold by our beloved Bru. This novelty cider blends cider with an Irn Bru favouring, because, of course it does, big yin! The aroma is sweet, and has the scent of a sweetie shop about it, though the cider tones are also evident in the background. The flavour is indescribable to anyone who has not sampled the wonder that is Irn Bru, but think of an orange cough lozenge, with a hint of ginger, and dipped in apple juice, to take the sharpness away for a bairn, and you will be in the right ballpark. More like an alcopop than a regular cider. Try it for the experience; I felt it was my patriotic duty to try it, but this will be for a very niche market! Obtained direct from Waulkmill.
