Golden Russet Cider

Original Sin is always trying new single varietal ciders, which of course have their challenges. I'm not sure if I've ever actually eaten a Golden Russet, but this cider makes me think they would make a good pie apple. There is a definite green apple bite at first, followed by sort of apple tart sweetness with maybe a bit of a vanilla flavor at the end of the sip. This is not an all the time cider for me, but I wouldn't turn down a glass with a good cheddar. I wish I could rate it 3.5.
