McIntosh

The pour is a pale silvery yellow but cloudy without a lot of carbonation. The aroma is apple. The taste is slightly sweet, then tart followed by apple. The finish is apple and tart. This isn’t a complex cider but with some spicy mole nachos it was a great pairing. The cotija cheese was salty and the cider cleansed the palate nicely. It’s a nice example of a tart dessert apple style cider and I liked it.

Four insectoid eyes caught us in a mesmerizing gaze, and I saw Jaxon waver, his bow dropping slightly as he tried to keep his bearings. I quickly averted my eyes, keeping my vision on the feet of the umber hulk, hoping to judge it as it moved. Our wizard, denied most of his damage spells by the close quarters, quickly muttered one of his incantations, and just as the massive creature lunged, it slowed. It moved as if through thick air, and I sidestepped while bringing up my sword for a counter attack. I realized then that the creature wasn't slowed; I was moving with incredible speed. This cider was a humid morning, and the smell of hot stone in a dark tunnel. It is the sound of death's approach.

Has a nice tart flavor without being too dry, went well with the pasta that we had for dinner tonight.

Strong tart apple taste that is crisp and acidic. Get a bit of citrus and lemon in the finish.

Apple-forward cider made from New York McIntosh apples. Tart and semi-sweet.
