Northern Spy

A crossover project brewed at Union Brewing in Baltimore, I decided to give this a try even though Anxo has been hit or miss for me in the past. As soon as I cracked open the can, the scent of Jolly Rancher candy hit my nose and made me glad I bought a loose can not a pack. Northern Spy is supposedly a baking apple and this cider is touted as having notes of butterscotch and caramel (two completely different things which make me question if the person writing copy understands the difference between delicious caramel and the abomination that is butterscotch, but I digress). I would not buy this again, and if offered it at a party, I would drink water. It's not spit it out bad, just not what I enjoy in a cider.
