500ml bottle. Yellow-orange golden colour, thin white foam head and aroma of tart apple, barnyard, funky. Sweetish juicy apple flavour with vanilla, woody, almost smokey, earthy & spicy notes and lots of chalky dry tannin. Slightly oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, bittersweet dry acidic finish. Nice complexity, very drinkable cider.

This organic cider has a yeasty and fruity aroma, with a hint of fresh-cut wood. Orangey-yellow, and moderately cloudy in appearance, with a light sediment in the bottle. This is made from a selection of ancient and modern cider apples, grown organically in Herefordshire, with evocative names such as Sheep's Nose, Brown Snout, Foxwhelp, and the modern Improved Kingston Black, and Ball's Bitter Sweet. The taste is complex, with a sweet, apple pie flavour, giving way to allspice and leather. This is cider as I imagine it from Victorian harvest fields!
