Tastes French. Funky, astringent but not terribly flavorful.

Frustratingly simple for the great Apple varietals than this is made of. Tannins and acid with not much else

Sampled at their Port Townsend tasting room. Their flagship award winning “bone dry” (zero residual sugar) cider, described as similar to traditional English cider. Aged in white oak. This is a “Scrumpy” unfiltered and unpasteurized cider. Citrus, floral, oak, and earthy notes.

Clear dark golden pour. Musty and funky aroma. Taste is dry, woody, earthy and tannic with a nice apple skin flavor coming through. Buttery mouthfeel.
