Rambling Route Yakima Apple Cider

This cider is easy to drink but lacks complexity. The fruit flavor is ok, but could have more nose and flavor. Astringency is low, with little bite. I could drink this down with dinner but would not make this part of a special occasion. My side kick says it's like the "Rolling Rock" of ciders.

The pour is a pale yellow with low carbonation. The aroma is apple forward. The taste is semi-dry apple and tart. The finish is medium acidic with a slightly astringent end to it. I’ve been trying a lot of sour ciders this week and maybe that has impacted my rating but quite enjoyed this apple forward slightly tart cider. It has 5g of residual sugar but I think it is well balanced with the acid as you don’t notice either in excess.

Very nice apple flavor. It has a clean fresh taste.

Good find at our local gaming store in Bothell, WA. Plenty sweet, clean and crisp, not too much funk. Give me a pint of this any night.

This cider is reminiscent of a beer. It’s dry and very lightly carbonated. Very light fruit flavor.

Pale lime-yellow in colour, with a light, sour aroma. The flavour is initially sour, but lacks depth and complexity, and is quickly lost. Drinkable, but unmemorable.

Good sweetness, but with a chemically harshness that compromises what otherwise would be a very enjoyable drink.

This is a solid sessionable cider. It screams Yakima from every pour. Made for a hot summer day where the best Thai food in town is just a short drive away in Kennewick.

I like this cider a lot. Lovely flavour, slightly sour.

Perfect cider to find when you're out and about. Not complex, but very drinkable and not too spendy.
