A very interesting amalgamation of flavors. Off dry with a bunch of tannins plus the whiskey barrel adds a whole other world of taste.

2020 season; pours a clear deep auburn, amber blonde, gentle carbonation; on the nose intense baked apple, gentle lemony acidity, wet orchard floor, cooked apple sauce; on the palate gentle baked apple, residual sweetness which lingers briefly before giving way to dry astringency, dry, bitter yet alive and juicy - perfect to enjoy this season! - very gentle carbonation cradling juicy bitter apple flavours: medium bodied, oodles of apples and unmistakably Pilton - damn it is good!

Comes in a 75cl champagne style bottle. Keeved and barrel aged. Not much else I can add to previous comments apart from that I really enjoyed it.

Update 05/04/20 Just trying the bag in box version. I prefer the fact that this is still . Otherwise itโ€™s pretty much as below but the whisky is amplified. 04/02/20 This was on tap. Copper colour, mid range fizz and clear. Aroma is fruity with oak. Nice apple flavour with vanilla and a sweet whisky taste in the finish. Quite soft with some light tannins.

Comes in a 750 ml champagne bottle, and is a keeved cider, matured in old whisky casks. Pale copper-coloured, with a fruity aroma, carrying tones of oak and whisky. Vanilla and apple give way to subtle, smoky whisky and velvety tannins. Very pleasant, and drinkable. Quite a soft keeving, and more subtle, less complex, than others I've tasted, but it is well-matched to the whisky.
