Comes in a 375 ml long-neck, draw-cork bottle. An ice perry, rather than an ice cider.
Amber/copper colour, with a delicate, floral aroma, carrying an edge of nutmeg.
Smooth, buttery and syrupy, with bottled pear tones, developing overripe fruit and woodiness in the aftertaste, before a somewhat bitter finish of pear skin and mixed spices.
Complex and unusual, but not wholly successful. The finish is slightly off-putting, but it's still worth a try. I fancy that this might go quite well with lightly-spiced desserts, like a Dutch apple pie or cardamom bullar.
