Merry Monkey

Merry Monkey Scrumpy 4.5% .Lilley's Cider. A medium scrumpy made with unfiltered bittersweet apples, full of character and flavour.

Clear dark amber colour with no carbonation. Sweet toffee/caramel aroma. Big caramel hits on the taste. Sweet cider, not.overly complex. Bought the three tuns Chepstow.

Orange/bronze, somewhat turbid, tastes of orange squash. And of course, to quote Adam Wells in Cider Review about this companies usual offerings "sweetened to within an inch of its life". I only tried it because it I hadn't visited this micropub before and Lilley's was all they had.

Orange colour, hazy and still. Weird chemical aroma. Very light apple flavour and very syrupy. Made from concentrate but not much choice for cider in this pub!
