Mr. Burlington

Limited released barrel aged cider with orange peel (and fennel seed and dandelion leaf), Manhattan and/or Old Fashioned inspired (conflicting descriptions). Notes of lemon, herbs, and a hint of oak. I would have preferred a bit sweeter plus the flavor just wasn't all that intense, but it was ok. My husband was a bigger fan.

Clear light gold pour with a small amount of effervescent bubbles. Aroma of oak and apples. Taste has oak, light citrus (orange and lemon), and a hint of fennel. I can see the similarities to an old fashioned but would expect the orange peel flavor to stand out more than it does. Oak comes out a bit stronger as the cider warms.
