Redstreak

Perry's Somerset Redstreak (6.0% ABV, 500ml). Single varietal cider made exclusively from Redstreak apples (a bittersweet variety) grown at the company's own Knowle St Giles Orchard, with Champagne and wild yeasts. Colour is hazy light golden. Rather mild aroma of faint farmyard apples and skins, slightly sweet. Medium body, soft carbonation. Bitterness and sweetness are immediately present in the flavour, withy some earthy farmyard notes. Rough apples plus custard. Mild sour lemon mixed in towards the dry finish, apple skins and yeast in the aftertaste. This one has a good farmyard style, not much depth, but it's limited sweetness makes it very refreshing. 7.5/10.

Light cloudy golden colour. Very light carbonation. Mild sweet funk on the nose. Sweet fruity apple to start with, which dissipates into a medium (certainly not dry) finish, subtitle hints of caramel/toffee to end with. Really pleasent cider, little too sweet for me, but a variety of cider is appreciated by me. I would certainly buy this again. Bought directly from the Perry's website.

Delicious cider which deserves its 2 star Great Taste Award. Rich apple flavour with strong aftertaste.

Single variety (Redstreak) cider, with some sediment in the bottle. Pale golden, with a hint of peach, in colour, and a floral aroma, with toffee apple tones. Very smooth, with a definite toffee apple flavour and vanilla tones, and little aftertaste. Very pleasant and drinkable, though a little monotone. A good dessert cider.

A very pleasant well-rounded cider. Smooth and fruity without any sharp angles.

Golden colour, slightly hazy with light fizz. Single variety cider. Floral aroma. Vanilla in the flavour with a little caramel. Very drinkable.
