Devon Christmas Cider

One of my favourite ciders for a quiet drink - even though I don't normally drink flavoured ciders. Apple juice, concentrated Clementine juice & Ground Spices ( Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Allspice, Mace, Juniper Berries ).

A cloudy pure apple juice visual appearance with a small amount of sediment so a slight mix is required. I was sceptical about this but i was pleasantly surprised! a rich apple cider with citrus flavours and spices, medium tartness leaving the flavours to linger. It would be very easy to drink several in a sitting!

Made by Sandford for Marks & Spencer. Looks like a glass of orange juice, and the aroma is similar to a mince pie, only with a higher than usual citrus peel content. The cider flavour doesn't really feature, and this is more akin to drinking a spiced orange juice. Perfectly pleasant, and very easy to drink, but not really a cider in my book. If you want a seasonal cider, I would opt for Kentish Pip's "Fireside", or mull their "Forager".
