This medium cider from Hogan's has flavours of natural fermentation which gives it that authentic character. As the label suggests, it's earthy, and I think that's the best word to describe this, it's earthy mature taste lingers throughout making this quite a moreish session cider.

It says ‘earthy’ on the label - and you’ll realise that as soon as you sniff it. (Worcestershire ciders do tend to be ‘earthy’). Under the nose it’s light and refreshing - there’s citrus for sure, perhaps a hint of peach and an aroma of fruity loveliness. Colour - it’s light bronze/golden with medium to light fizz Taste - this is where the peach kicks in. There is also an edge of citrus zest. This cider is certainly extremely refreshing and on the label is described as a ‘session’ cider and at 5.4%ABV you could certainly get away with that. There’s a hint of brown sugar and the length is medium with a body that is to match. It’s medium is all areas really - not too sweet and not too dry. The dryness kicks in on swallowing and leaves a light hue making you want another sip, or gulp! It’s very drinkable. I’ve given it 4/5 and if the flavour had been just a tad more complex it may very well have crept into a 5/5. A solid cider, honest with its label and accurate and I would certainly buy this again. It may be too dey for some, leaving you with a thirst that doesn’t quite satisfy. (Bought in a Co-op on the Ombersley Road in Worcester).

This is probably my least favorite UK craft cider so far...I much prefer Aspall, Sheppy's, Worley's, etc. It had an odd flavor, a touch of sourness oddly enough. Otherwise it had what I expect in an English cider, a touch extra sweetness, nearly still, mild tannins, and some richness.

Golden colour, clear with mid range fizz but a touch more than I’d like. Apple vinegar aroma. Slightly woody taste but mostly there is a tangy start and a tart finish. It’s still rich and has some tannins.

Golden in colour, with some skin and a touch of vinegar in the aroma. Tangy apple gives way to sharp sourness, before the aftertaste reveals tannins and a little wood. Rich and complex, but the sourness takes away from that, for me.
