2023 Vintage Reserve

Not much under the nose - a hint of oak and earth, but faint. Taste? Seems lighter than the 2021 version (which was the last version I tried) but it’s light with a brown sugary depth and vanilla kick with a hint of natural apple peel sweetness. The colour is golden bronze and light in carbonation with a caramel hint of colour (and in taste). It’s mellow with an edge and dry - thins out on the tongue to leave a fairly short length but swells around the palate with enough about it to satisfy with medium body. This 2023 effort is very tasty, enjoyable and at 7.4%ABV packs a bit of a hidden punch as it doesn’t taste ‘strong’ at all. Another great effort from Sheppy’s and although described as ‘complex’ on the front label, it wasn’t quite as complex as I’d have liked so I’ve given it 4/5.

Another great cider. Good nose and strong flavour. Hard to fault.

This 2023 vintage follows on consistency with previous years which I think is a compliment in itself. It's a bold character with rich tannins emphasising its aged smokey oak flavours and rich apple tang. A class act, I like it.

Oak,smooth,apple,dry, refreshing

Golden colour, clear with light fizz. Light apple aroma with a hint of spice. Caramel in the flavour with oak. Needs a bigger hit of apple.
