Pale yellow color. Has a good taste of elderflower with an oakish aftertaste, which is not for me. Appletaste is low. Also light sweet with also light carbonation. Very hard to rate this one, honestly. If it would be a blind taste, I wouldn't recognize this one as a cider. In this case, I would give taste-wise a 3,5. Otherwise, as a cider, it is special. The beautiful color, bottle and the combination of tastes gives a great rounded experience. It gives a little bit of a champagne feeling, which brings it also in a special line up for cider. Would definitely one or two glasses at an evening. Not a bottle, cause of the oakiness. But I really like the light sweet with the soft taste when it comes on the tongue. In this case I would give a 4.5. So, mixing the results leads me to a confident 4. Can recommend one bottle for a good evening.

Sheppy's Cider with Elderflower (4% ABV, 500ml). Crushed & fermented Somerset apples, infused with elderflower "essence". Pale, clear, "white wine" yellow colour. Compared to Thistly Cross' Edlderflower cider, the elderflower note in the aroma is subtle, so you can also smell some apples, hints of vinegar. Light body, soft carbonation. While the elderflower is more noticeable on the palate, it's still apples first, elderflower second. Tart apples, some earthiness, mild herbs and mild vinegar. Rather faint semi-sweet finish, mostly floral. Faint herbs and vinegar in the aftertaste. Rather pleasant if light-bodied cider that doesn't overdo the elderflower part. 7/10.

My wife found out she loves elderflower! Trying this Cider was our first exposure to elderflower and now I am going to have to make a batch of my own. It was lightly carbonated and slightly sweet on my palette. The elderflower reminds me of dry hopping where you pick up the floral aroma and flavor. I find it quite refreshing and could see me drinking this in the shade on a hot summer day.

Pale green, even nearly clear in colour and slightly carbonated. Light, clean, crisp taste with elderflower essence. Enjoyable and refreshing.

Pale lime green in colour, with a perfumed elderflower aroma. Mild elderflower taste, with a hint of guava. Light, refreshing, and not too sweet.
