Cinderella’s Slipper (Cellar Series #1)

Comes in a 750 ml draw-cork bottle, with light sediment. Amber colour, with an aroma combining pine resin and smoke. Buttery fruit, with tones of butterscotch, developing a resinous bitterness in the aftertaste, with a soft pine wood finish. Nicely drinkable, with interesting complexity and flavour notes. Goes well with a slate-matured cheddar and oatcakes.

Golden orange colour, slightly hazy and still. Baked apple aroma. Flavour has wood with some caramel. Citrus and tannins in the finish.

Dry, still, good acid, not a lot of depth but still a good cider.

750ml bottle from Scrattings. Orangey gold colour, white foam head that quickly dissipates away to a thin rim and aroma of baked apple, caramel, light funk. Taste is tart apple, tangy woody funk, bittersweet, tannin with citric notes. Slick mouthfeel, medium bodied, light carbonation, dry tart finish. Nicely drinkable.

Tannic and funky aroma. Taste follows the nose with a taste that is tannic, lightly tart and sharp.
