Henry Westons 2023 Vintage

Bronze colour & clear. Moderate light fizz which seems less than previous vintages. Ripe fruit and oak aroma. A little honey and raisins in the flavour.

The private guards were dead. Nothing we could do about it. The initial volley had caught them completely off guard, and the bandits were close and competent. Loaded with crossbow bolts designed to pierce heavy armor, not that it was necessary, as the guards were mostly a show to discourage attack. Our quick reaction had prevented any real threat to the client or the caravan; at my shout of trouble Aria had set up a quick magical barrier, enough to keep out errant crossbow bolts. Once safety was evident, we saw to Jaxon. Thankfully, he wasn't dead. Yet. This cider is simultaneous stress and relief. It is the cold sweat once danger has passed. It's a shock of adrenaline, cone when it's too late to do any good.
