It’s good. But the 2021 was better I think.
Under the nose it’s fresh and crisp. Light floral notes, hint of peaches, rust, sweet farmyard hint.
The taste is silky, mellow and fairly light to medium bodied. It tastes great, but at 8.2%ABV you can’t have too many.
The length is amazing - toffee notes at the end, starting with a silky smooth light honey and caramel hint with a soft bite of sweetness - then the medium dry kicks in. Length is very long and satisfying and develops after you’ve swallowed.
Very little fizz, slightly flatter than the 2021, golden in colour and very satisfying. I enjoyed mine with a Pilgrim’s Choice Vintage Cheddar (UK).
4/5 stars - very, very nice and what you’d expect from Weston’s with this 2022 Medium Dry Vintage cider.
The 2021 Medium Dry Vintage, if you can find one, is the top of my picks (for Weston’a cider)
