Henry Westons Vintage Pear

White wine colour, clear and has moderate fizz. I’m getting very little in terms of aroma. Very light pear if I’m being generous. Pear drop flavour and a bit floral I find this overly sweet and a bit sickly.

Very light straw almost green colour, sparkling. Sweet pear aroma (shocking I know). Don't really get a great deal of apple from this. It is a pear cider, not a perry so we should be getting something. But the bottle says it is made from perry pears so that is confusing . Maybe a tiny hint of tannin froman apple far away. But it is mainly sweet pear flavours.

Not much in the aroma here apart from a bit of earth and pear. Sniffed really hard and got nothing else back. You don’t always get what you put in, I suppose. It’s light in colour, like a champagne and 6.0%ABV with light to moderate fizz. It’s sweet and sickly. If you’re into your sweet drinks, this is for you - reminds me very much of Old Mout Cider Kiwi and Lime or Kopparberg Crisp Apple cider - sweet as you like! Nothing remarkable here - a shame really because I think Weston’s have the capability of making a better vintage pear effort than this. I’ve given it 3 stars but wanted to give it 2 really. It is quite smooth so I’ll give it that and if helped notch it to a 3/5. The taste is medium sweet (as there is a hint of dryness) with a medium body. The taste is full and quick to disperse so not much in the length apart from a very nougat/vanilla aftertaste which is pleasant enough. I wouldn’t elbow anyone out of the way to have this again. I was curious about it and unsure but will leave it on the shelf next time for the kids to drink instead.

Henry Westons new vintage pear perry is light and refreshing which is very well balanced making this a pleasure to consume. It's visually quite clear and bright with a slight tinge of green and a slight sparkle. A particularly medium sweet tasting perry with a light delicate finish.
