Another decent effort from the Ross-on-Wye Cider and Perry Company. Not as much under the nose as I would have expected - but a clear hint of caramel and earth. Very light on fizz but enough to satisfy. It’s hazy and golden in colour with a complex taste that’s harsh but pleasant. It keeps you guessing and you know you’re in the presence of a decent cider. At 7.0%ABV, you’ll have to keep an eye on your legs as you couldn’t drink this one all day - although you could try! The taste is sharp with plenty going on - with sour apple notes and a jagged dry finish on the palate - it’s just lacking that edge in terms of complexity to gain a 5/5 score. I’d buy this one again - one of the better entries from this exceptional cider producer. 4/5.

Delightful funky dry cider. Initially fizzy but soon settles down. Cloudy amber cider. Fruity and funky on the nose. On initial taste there is a subtle fruity character which is then overtaken by a dry tannin flavours with hints of lemon.

Golden yellow colour, pretty hazy and with moderate fizz. Single variety cider. According to the bottle this was produced from what was thought to be the French Michelin apple but after DNA testing turns out to be the Bisquet apple. Ripe apple aroma with spirits and hay. Flavour is rich with straw, a bit of citrus and strong smooth tannins.
