Comes in a 750ml screw-top bottle, with light sediment.
Hazy yellow, with an aroma of straw and oak.
Sharp fruit, becoming tannic and astringent in the aftertaste, before soft oak tones assert themselves in the finish.
Quite drinkable, despite the astringency and bitterness, as the oak mellows the finish. This would be a good accompaniment to a nutty cheddar, or possibly even a good-quality red Leicester.
