Yellow coloured, moderately heavy sparkling which is too much for me and very hazy. Straw and oak in the aroma. Earth and oak in the flavour. Tannic and astringent finish.

Comes in a 750 ml bottle, with slight sediment. Golden colour, with an aroma of oak, straw, and malt. Sharp, bittersweet apple flavour is replaced by intense, but soft, tannins and aged oak, with an earthy finish. Depth and character, with a big tannic aftertaste, which makes this my kind of cider. This would go well with a grassy Isle of Mull cheddar, or a rustic casserole; I had it with herby French lentils and a baguette. This will be a one-off product, as the Brown Snout trees from which they harvested were lost the following year, so buy it if you find it!
