The Hagloe Crab is an ancient (1718) and once much-prized cider variety.
Cloudy gold, with an aroma of straw and wood, carrying a touch of funk and sulphur.
Tart, slightly sour, fruity flavour with gooseberry and quince tones, and with a hint of sulphur, and a little funk in the finish.
Unusual, complex flavours, delivering an interesting and quite drinkable cider.
